Just thought I'd share an idea I had as a wedding editor.

I work at a studio with at least 50 workers and as you know, the editor usually is a poorly lit room and is the only one in the whole wedding production that doesn't get noticed. (Heck, I need a pat on the back too!) Since I'm not the boss, I was thinking of a way to get my name in the video for credit and I didn't think my boss would approve to just write it as they do with directors, producers and editors in a Hollywood movie so I came up with an idea that worked:

I started making an Outtakes clip with credits at the end of the wedding videos. The credids are in Hebrew but it says "Director & Producer": (my boss's name) Actors: Bride: (Bride's name) Groom: (Groom's name) and of course I put my name there too as the editor.

Here's one of the clips, it's called the bride who can't stop laughing. Enjoy:

If you're interested, here's one of my regular clips:

I liked what I saw, but had to stop when after four minutes I was only at the 25 second mark.  We are in a rural area and don't have the fastest DSL connection, but most videos play much better for us.  Was there something unusual about the encoding/compression process?

I just tried another Vimeo video and it didn't play any better.  So it's either Vimeo or something about the connections between them and me.  I play other web videos just fine.

That's interesting! If you just pause the video for a few minutes, won't it buffer until the end?

I encoded it for the web and it's not that big a file. Of course you can download it from sites like http://clipnabber.com/ (just paste the URL) but I wouldn't trouble anyone with that. I think it might be a Vimeo thing because it's only like 22MB.

I'll look into it.
