I'm looking to upgrade our wireless comms between cameras. Suggestions for good (but not too expensive please!) headsets/mics/systems for camera operators would be welcome.

When our old Motorola GRS sets died (I left old batteries in them over the off-season and one leaked, causing damage), we tried Cobra (junk!) and some other brand but ended up going back to Motorolas and being happy. We have the headsets with the ppt button on the cord.

Thanks Hank. Do you have any specific model number you can recommend? How quietly can you speak / whisper in to the mic and still have the other person hear you?

I didn't find a model number on it. We turn them off during ceremonies ever since one embarrassing moment when Jean's radio went while due to some sort of interference. It took her about fifteen seconds to figure out what had happened and turn the thing off. Ever since then (about four years ago) we turn them off during ceremonies. Before then, we'd use a series of clicks to communicate during ceremonies, not wanting to even be whispering during a ceremony. But I doubt whispers would be all that good through them in noisy venues.
