I know a lot of you wedding videographers also do stage productions for dance schools, etc.  That is one of the more difficult audio areas (and even more difficult video area) to cover, so I wanted to let you know that I just stumbled across an excellent article by Shawn Lam, of Vancouver-based Shawn Lam Video, on eventDV.net.  You can read it here -

As for his noted difficulties with over-modulation from sound boards, please note that there is a big difference between a "mic-in" and "line-in".  Many inputs have switches for these, as do the Beachtek A4 adapters, and special attenuators can be purchased for those without such adapters.
