Lighting for Digital Video & Television (Second Edition)
- by John Jackman - Digital Video Expert Series, CMP Books

It's about time for a third edition but this book is still a valuable resource.  Covers lighting instruments; techniques; interview setups; solving problems; studio lighting and much more.

Even though you probably don't bring Totems or studio lights to wedding shoots, understanding the basics of lighting is still important.  There are times I have lighting changes or window shades opened or closed, etc., made in churches and chapels, or convince the officiant to turn the couple a different way, because of lighting.

Understanding lighting basics will help you notice when things could be improved and you'll know what to do to improve them.  Though his page on wedding videography is limited and dated, the rest of the book is a great value. I recommend this book for all videographers.
