No-Budget Digital Filmmaking - Chuck Cloman
Copyright 2003 by the McGraw-Hill Companies
This author got off on the wrong foot with me with his opinions about wedding videos -
"..still look great with 1-chip cameras".
"Some couples even want two cameras to cover their fateful day...try to keep with one camera coverage."
"Even digital still photography has more up-front costs than video - all without sound."
Mr Cloman says he teaches film production at a college. I would hope that this college, based on these statements alone, would review Mr. Cloman's credentials.
The author proudly displays photos from a commercial he shot on the beach where the talent has severe "racoon eyes' from the harsh overhead sun. His slapstick comedy attempts permeate every page as he tells the stories from his experiences. While this may be entertaining if having a beer or coffee with the author, it makes for boring and unenlightening reading.
Save your thirty bucks and take your sweetheart out to supper instead of throwing your money away on this book.
