Another good, solid article.  The areas we service are too far away for us to have approval meetings, but as Mr. Nelson suggests as an alternative, we do mail out an unadorned approval DVD, and we strongly recommend doing this (either in person or via mail).

To merely present your client with a finished video without having a standardized process for her to review and approve is, IMHO, presumptous and a disservice to your clients.

Hey, there's something else we can agree on! I too like to give clients an opportunity to comment on their video, but also see a need to limit endless change requests. How exactly do you balance those potentially conflicting considerations?

Our agreement spells it out - they get one set of changes that can take up to one hour of edits.  Beyond that, I am $200/hr. 

That tends  to limit things pretty well.  :-)
