This past Saturday I recorded a full-length (two hour) wedding ceremony plus reception where almost everything was said in Spanish. This made surprisingly little difference in doing the videography as I could usually tell what was going on, plus there were people who spoke English to fill me in on what to expect when I had questions. The fun part will be editing the video -- or rather the audio -- to cut out anything inappropriate. I've already talked to one friend who speaks Spanish to get her help with that, plus we have a videographer in our local association who could also pitch in on this count.

Anyway, it was interesting to see how familiar things seemed without understanding the language. Good reminder that we're ultimately all a lot more alike than different.    Smiley

I've done weddings in Urdu, Chinese, Vietnamese, Hindi and Spanish.  Even though I once lived for half a year in Puerto Rico and (barely) was able to get by in Spanish, it can feel isolating, working while everyone is speaking what sounds like "nonsense".  And, yes it is a challenge to edit those!

I would have thought you'd get Spanish-speaking clients fairly frequently out west.  I guess northern California is a lot different from southern Cal.
