Stephen Kelly put one heck of an issue together this month!
Oh sure, you've got that four page crappy article about a Glidecam wannabe. If the thing can handle a prosumer camera, it should have been shown and tested with one, otherwise this article belongs in Videomaker.com.
That and the fact that the Photoshop article promises 10 tips but only gives 5 (the next 5 promised for the next issue - false advertising - where's Nader when you need him?).
Those are the only two knocks I can come up with. Sure, there are things I could nit-pic about the Corporate Shoot article, but hey - it's a really good article and it will help to read it before you meet with a corporate client if you're new at corporate work.
Laura Moses says the glass is half empty while Steve Yankee says it's half full, but both are solid articles that may help you through the coming difficult times.
Jan Ozer worked overtime this month with two solid articles that are "Gotta Reads" - one about Sonicfire 5 (yes, I've had that program since it was released, but I haven't had time to really investigate its new features and Jan really shows you the ropes.) The other article is about the Panny AG-HPX170 which really opened my eyes to the kinds of things we should be hoping that other manufacturers will start offering, otherwise I may trade in my new Canons!
Keep up the good work Event DV (We're taking Stephen off the "Worst Persons" list!)
