Hey Guys,
I haven't posted this ina while, so here it goes... Starting on Thursday, I shoot a local music show for the Time Warner company here. It goes 9-3 and I just DP it with my cams and lighting, and hand over the tapes which is a good deal for me. Friday I shot the christmas program at my son's school 45 mins and I'll sell the DVDs st $20 a pop, which may do well, we'll see. Saturday I shot a documentary style wedding. I made the largest blunder of my wedding career so far. My only thought is that I hadn't eaten before the wedding, and I was so hungry I couldn't see straight. I just flat ran out of time before the wedding, and never ate. Everything seemed fine until I got home to upload the tapes, and no bridesmaid/groomsmen processional. I apparently hit stop on the camera rather than record, and the processional up to when the bride walked in is not there. Thank god for a few things. I have the brides processional in it's entirety... I was shooting with 3 cameras so I have 2 wide angles of the bridesmaids/groomsmen walking in. The venue is very strict about where I could stand, so all I wouldve gotten with my A camera is the back of heads, etc. because I had to stand outside the back doors anyway. So, hopefully that one will be fine. This is a very high profile family, but I was hired for minimum coverage, so gulp! we'll see. Sunday I shot a dance recital for the Montessori school, which seemed to go ok, we'll see... anyway long weekend and now I'll edit the weekend's wedding to deliver on Saturday. I'm beat.

You should be beat!  You've been really busy.

Hey, don't feel bad - I've done that (accidentally go from record to stand-by). In fact, I did it at my last wedding shoot - the first hi-def shoot and the first time using my new Canon XH-1A camera.  Was doing fine as the mothers came down the aisle, but as I turned to shoot the candle lighting, another camera captured me and you can see my record light go out.  Didn't notice until I turned back to cover the processional.  Lost about a full minute.  Thankfully we had another manned camera and two static cams, so the coverage didn't suffer too much.

You deserve a break!
