Most of us probably stopped reading Videomaker magazine after our first year or two or three in videography because although we got past the amateur stage, it seems VM never did.

Well, it's time to resubscribe, because VM has grown up!  (see July 2009)

Recent issues have been chock full of great articles for the video pro, and though they don't specialize in event shooting, the articles are interesting and helpful.  Besides, don't most of us envision a documentary or film festival video someday?

Yeah, I let my subscription lapse ages ago. In '07 We did go to one of their training seminars in New York, which was okay, I guess. I learned some stuff in a few classes, but the guy leading the seminar on Wedding videography was a total failure, in my opinion, at the end of the class, we were chatting with another videographer couple we met, and we agreed that someone who knew nothing about wedding videography reading from a textbook could have done a better job. Oh well, what can you do?

I may have to go resusbscribe now. Maybe if they do a really sharp job, I'll try another one of their seminars again, to see if they fired the wedding video guy. Grin
