Need suggestions & comments for new web layout & possible new forum app

"Anonymous complaint" (topic prior to this one) was right on - we need a new look / layout and perhaps a new forum program as well.

We'll update to Joomla 1.5x and pick a new design.  That's where I need your help.  Please checkout the Joomla designs at www.RocketTheme.com and post your suggestions.  We'll choose one of the designs and redo this website.  Also, we may switch to PHPbb3 for the forums since the auto-updates for SMF have not been working.

OK, please give me some feedback..

OK, I'm going to first upgrade to Joomla 1.5.  During this process, the entire site will go down.  Hopefully, I'll have it right back up, but be prepared for a couple of days of downtime, just in case.

This should not affect the forums, just the main website.  Once the main site is again stable, I'll think about redoing the message boards.

I've received a couple emails on this topic, but no public posts yet.  Shy?
