You know,
Here's the thing. I haven't been doing this for very long. About 4 yrs total. I freelanced for a while before that, but on my own 4 yrs. Other than the first year, I have done 25+ weddings per year since then. I have 12 booked right now for 2010 starting on Jan 2. I am SO SICK of WEDDINGS I don't know what to do with myself. I need you guys to help talk me off a ledge here, and especially Hank give me some of your burnout fighting tips... thanks.

Wedding burnout-fighting tips?
Sure - read my recent articles about getting jobs with small businesses and corporations. I've cut back to three to six weddings annually, filling in with a couple-dozen, better-paying, less work business projects.
The people you meet at weddings are super and they are each individuals, but the weddings are all so similar. Pretty soon, you're doing cookie-cutter wedding shoots.
By shooting every week, your time is cramped so that you can't employ the creativity you used to enjoy back when you only shot twice a month.
Cure:
1. Go after small business and corporate shoots. (A recent article here gave details on how to get the gigs).
2. Increase your wedding rates so you only get the number you want to do.
3. Enjoy having your Life back!

Stop accepting any and all wedding bookings immediately, and send them to my website! Tell them I do travel

Will do Mark... thanks for the tip. Good luck with southern Catholics. They are a whole new breed of church lady!
